Macrotech Developers Investment in Rental House Construction
Abhishek Lodha, the managing director and chief executive officer of Macrotech Developers has stated that the company will increase its investment in project building during the current fiscal year to more than Rs 5,000 crores or nearly $90 million in response to the expansion in sales and new supply. In the years 2024 and 2025, Macrotech Developers, which sells real estate under the Lodha brand, plans to provide more than 10,000 flats. `
1`odha asserted that the business was able to accomplish all of its primary goals for the fiscal year` 2023-24, which included pre-sales, the acquisition of additional land, and the reduction of debt at a time when there was a significant demand for housing.
As India's housing sector is likely in the third year of a long-term upcycle, fueled by robust economic expansion and rising consumer inclination toward homeownership rather than renting, he predicted that demand would continue to rise. According to Lodha, the company will add more land for future development and initiate additional projects to ensure a consistent and predictable growth trajectory.
Moreover, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), Pune, and Bengaluru are all seeing housing developments by Macrotech Developers, one of the most prominent real estate developers in India. As mentioned, around 8,500 units were delivered to customers during 2023-24, and the goal is to increase the number of units to more than 10,000.
Lodha noted that the organization has established a goal to sell properties valued at Rs 17,500 crore or more than $3 billion in the 2024-25 fiscal year, representing an expansion of 21%over the preceding year.
On the other hand, the company's sale bookings, which are also referred to as pre-sales, reached a new high of Rs 14,520 crore or over $2.5 billion in the most recent fiscal year, climbing by twenty percent from Rs 12,060 crore or almost $2.1 billion in the fiscal year 2022-23. Therefore, during this fiscal year, Macrotech Developers plans to develop various home projects to capitalize on the demand in the consumer market.
