1. Install a Pool Fence
Local fence installers should construct a climb-resistant fence around your pool, even if your yard is already fenced. Ensure that any portion of your residence that serves as the wall lacks windows and entrances. Accordingly, it is recommended that your fence be at least five feet high, with slats or uprights that are no more than three or four inches apart, depending on the construction codes that are in effect in your area. In addition, it should include a gate that can close and latch itself and a childproof lock. You should not neglect to remove any surrounding furniture that your youngster could use to climb up the fence.
2. Put in Safety Drain Covers
Inquire your pool installation provider about installing anti-entrapment protection drain covers in your pool and hot tub. These more recent covers have been broken to prevent someone from becoming trapped and even drowning.
3. Use the Pool Cover
Install a rigid cover that completely encases the surface of your pool whenever it is not in use. Since extremely young toddlers might drown in as little as two inches of water, it is imperative that any water that accumulates on top be pumped out or drained down. As mentioned, all pool coverings should be removed entirely whenever the pool is being used. This will prevent swimmers from becoming trapped under the covers.

5. Install a Non-Slip Pool Deck
When selecting materials for your pool deck, make sure to select only those that are non-slip. With the exception of infants, this is for the benefit of all swimmers. Fortunately, tile design has progressed to the point that there are now a multitude of attractive possibilities that also offer sufficient grip for use poolside.
6. Be Cautious With Depth and Design of New Pools
Instead of a sharp plunge, it is recommended to construct a new pool featuring a deep end with a design that incorporates a gradual slope. Moreover, marking off the sections would help youngsters easily perceive the 'safe zones' in your pool. This design feature provides swimmers with a defined safe space within the pool to engage in fun activities. However, even though these safety measures are in place, it is still of the utmost importance to supervise youngsters in or around the pool.
7. Install Door and Fence Alarms
Recent technological developments have made it feasible to install pool alarms in private residences with swimming pools. Consider the many available alarms to ensure your pool is safe for children to use. It is possible to put door alarms on outside doors that lead to the swimming pool. Batteries often power door alarms. Due to their effectiveness, the door can always be ensured to be shut. Additionally, fence Alarms are similar to door alarms, except they are specifically intended to operate with pool fences. Whenever a child walks into the backyard, the alarm notifies the grownups.
