Amid a labor crisis brought on by Israel's conflict with Hamas, which resulted in the cancellation of work licenses for Palestinians, the Israeli team is recruiting construction workers in India. An agreement was additionally signed between the governments of Israel and India to allow these Indian laborers to migrate legitimately.

Job Recruitment in India
As a means of filling the available positions, the Israeli construction sector is actively seeking workers from India and other nations since a significant number of Palestinians have had their work licenses withdrawn as a result of the Israel-Hamas disagreement.
On Monday, Jan. 15, fifteen Israelis arrived in India to conduct recruitment drives. Currently, their primary focus is recruiting and building employees across the various states in India. Thus, over 10,000 individuals have expressed interest in participating in the recruitment drive that is currently taking place in Haryana. The drive takes place from Jan. 16 to Jan. 20 for positions such as bar bender, mason, tiler, and stuttering carpenter.
As mentioned, the candidates will receive a monthly compensation of Rs 1.37 lakh or almost $1,700, in addition to receiving medical insurance, food, and housing. These individuals can also get a bonus of Rs 16,515 or nearly $130 monthly.
Moreover, on Nov. 3, 2023, the Department of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, the Government of India (GOI), and the Population Immigration and Border Authority (PIBA) of Israel signed the implementation protocol to facilitate Indian workers in specific labor market sectors in Israel. Upon the worker's arrival, a private medical insurance document will be supplied to them under the protocol for the implementation. The visa and work permit reportedly stipulate that the contractual agreement will be in effect for a minimum of one year and a maximum of 63 months.

Hamas-Israeli Conflict
On Oct. 7, Hamas gunmen came from the Gaza Strip and launched an attack on Israel. According to the health ministry that is operated by Hamas, over 21,000 individuals have become victims of violence in Gaza.
Due to the attacks, Hamas was able to capture approximately 240 hostages, which it said were concealed in safe places and tunnels throughout Gaza. Over 30 of the kidnapped were reportedly minors, and at least 10 of them were over the age of 60. Additionally, it was stated that around 50% of the hostages used passports from 25 different nations.
In response, Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) jets have been executing air strikes over Gaza while Israeli troops have been moving across the region. Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, made it clear that Israel's primary objective was to liberate the captives and to wipe out the military and governmental capabilities of The Hamas terrorist organization. In preparation for the operation, Israel committed 300,000 members of its reservist force, bringing its total standing force to 160,000.
Furthermore, Hamas is classified as a terrorist organization by Israel, the United Kingdom, the United States, and other Western powers. Following the conclusion of the war, Mr. Netanyahu also announced that Israel would assume full responsibility for the security of Gaza for an undetermined amount of time. He also noted that Israel had no intention of reoccupying the land.
