Secret Details of Saudi Arabia's $1 Trillion Giga-Project

According to one of the architects working on the project, The Line, a magnificent forthcoming project in Saudi Arabia that is expected to cost one trillion dollars, has the potential to become the next Babylon. However, it comes with its problems.

In the middle of the desert sits a massive tower that is mirrored and laid out on its side. If you ask different people, they will tell you that it is either humanity's natural progression or a step towards a dismal future. During a documentary that lasted for forty-five minutes, notable architects such as Thom Mayne, Peter Cook, and Reinier de Graaf discussed exclussive details on the project.

As mentioned, nine million people are expected to be able to call this structure home after it is finished being constructed. It is 105 miles in length and 200 meters in width. Unbelievably, the project is designed to be finished by 2030, which is an extremely strict timeline. Constructors are working around the clock to ensure that the project is finished on time, which is a direct result of the deadline that has been set.

The documentary also featured an appearance by Peter Cook, the project's primary designer and co-founder of Cook Haffner Architecture Platform. Cook explained how the project is based on his concepts for the Plugin City, which he developed in the 1960s with Archigram. Accordingly, NEOM City comprises several different regions, and 'The Line' is not the only attraction there.

The architects have stated that the present construction design for 'The Line' comprises 140 modules. Additionally, each module will be unique and distinct from the others, measuring 800 meters in length and providing housing for 80,000 people. Moreover, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, also appeared in ethe interview and spoke extensively about the project.

Things may remain somewhat intriguing since each module is believed to be distinct from the others. In addition, the unique megadevelopment is being developed as a critical part of NEOM, an emerging urban district in the historically arid northwest region of Saudi Arabia.

Development in NEOM

As a priority project of the Crown Prince, NEOM is a massive new city initiative Jordan initiated in 2017 in the northwest corner of Saudi Arabia. The country has been making progress on its project, which has resulted in an increase in the number of people being hired and the development of some preliminary ideas on the city's appearance.

Among these ideas are various initiatives, such as a few one-off resorts, as well as a prominent core project known as 'The Line.' This project will reportedly serve as the foundation of the new metropolis and will feature a Hyperloop, utilities, infrastructure, and, most importantly, zero cars. By reducing the emissions the city produces, 'The Line' hopes to protect the natural environment of NEOM. The concept of a city with no streets broadly aligns with this idea.

Furthermore, as NEOM's development progresses, one fascinating intersection is the move from an abstract idea to a concrete concept. During this moment, anxiety and nervousness are also prevalent. When everything is said and done, it is one thing to talk about: altering the world and resetting the future in a general sense. Still, when committing to anything tangible, the initiative is open to criticism and evaluation from people worldwide.
