Construction of Multi-Sport Stadium
On Tuesday, Mar. 19, construction began on the new multi-sport stadium that will be constructed at William Woods University. This stadium will be the home of the university's first college football team in its 154-year journey. As mentioned, the women's flag football team and the men's and women's soccer teams to represent the Owls will be housed within the stadium. The university officials stated that the new stadium will be finished by June. Sept. 14 will begin the men's football season, which opens in the autumn. Moreover, during the spring of 2025, the women's flag football squad will start their season.
Julian Mendez, who was the first head football coach for the Owls, commented that the new stadium will have a lot of different characteristics. The bleachers brought into the stadium will be able to accommodate and sit a range of 2,500 people. In addition to a chalkboard that will be installed, it will also feature a press box that will protect our employees, student workers, and sports data directors from the elements so that they can carry out their duties.
When designing the stadium, the school aimed to incorporate elements of both the old and new construction. Athletics professionals place a high priority on safety. Athletics director Steve Wilson also supports the inclusion of a turf field within the stadium. He believes this will be helpful, mainly when dealing with bad weather.

Some Specs in Constructing a Football Field
When building a football field, selecting the appropriate location is one of the most crucial elements to consider. Moreover, to prevent floods, the site must not only be large enough to handle the field, but it must also have adequate drainage. The soil must be sufficiently solid to bear the weight of the field and any structures that will be constructed on it. Following the selection of the place, the building can then start.
Clearing the area and setting the ground level are the first steps in the process. It is possible to accomplish this task by hand or with the assistance of large gear, depending on the region's size. Following the completion of the clearing of the area, the construction workers will begin the process of laying down a layer of gravel. This prevents the formation of pools on the surface of the field and aids in drainage. Immediately after the gravel installation, a sand layer is placed.
Once the topsoil has been deposited, the turf will be installed. Once installed, the field will be getting close to being ready for use. A few things need to be completed before the field can be officially opened to the public. These include painting the lines and installing the goalposts.
Moreover, the grandstands used on football fields are created by installing seats on the ground for the spectators to sit on. The chairs in the Tribune must be spacious and comfortable so that those watching may walk around easily. In addition, guardrails must be constructed around the perimeter to forestall any mishaps. They ought to be at ease, and each should be able to observe the game from the most advantageous vantage point. Before building football bleachers, consider how many people can fit. Using this method, it will be possible to create a football field with outstanding characteristics.
